‘Panvel Connect’ mobile application launched
The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has taken a major leap towards enhancing citizen services and promoting digital governance through the launch of the ‘Panvel Connect’ mobile application.
The initiative was launched on Tuesday at Loknete D.B. Patil School in the presence of several dignitaries. MLA Prashant Thakur praised the corporation’s efforts, stating that PMC is at the forefront of delivering guaranteed services to its citizens.
The program had featured multiple key inaugurations, including the Panvel Connect App, digital information display boards, a fleet of solid waste management vehicles, two mobile veterinary clinics, the launch of four Maha e-Seva Guarantee Centres, and an e-Office system aimed at improving transparency and administrative efficiency. The Panvel Connect App is designed and aimed at simplifying communication between residents and the civic body, the app provides access to municipal services, bill payments, local news, and emergency assistance like police, fire, and ambulance services.
To enhance waste management 16 advanced refuse compactors were introduced for efficient waste collection and transportation to the Ghote dumping ground. Two mobile veterinary clinics were also launched to support animal welfare. Digital Information Boards: To keep citizens informed and engaged about ongoing civic initiatives. Maha e-Seva Guarantee Centers: To implement the ‘Right to Services Act’ more effectively four new centers were recently inaugurated.
A digital office solution has been launched to increase transparency and accountability in administrative services. “The PMC is dedicated to providing a transparent, citizen-focused, and efficient administration, ensuring that all citizen applications are promptly acknowledged and addressed through the new app,” said Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Mangesh Chitale.
