India Monitoring F-1 Visa Concerns, In Touch With Affected Students: MEA On Deportation Of Student From US
The Ministry Of External Affairs said on Sunday that it is aware of several Indian students receiving communication from the US government regarding the F-1 visa status. Speaking at the press briefing, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that MEA is looking into the matter and that the embassy and consulates are in touch with the students to provide support.
"We are aware that several Indian students have received communication from the US government regarding their F-1 visa status, which is the student visa. We are looking into the matter. Our embassy and consulates are in touch with the students to provide support," Jaiswal said during the presser.
Speaking on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, Jaiswal said that a notice will be issued soon for the public on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. He further said that there is a possibility of resumption of the Yatra soon.
"We will soon issue a notice for the public on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. There is a possibility of resumption of the Yatra soon," Jaiswal said.
On the comments by the Pakistan Army chief terming Kashmir as a jugular vein, Jaiswal said that it is a union territory of India.
"How can anything foreign be in a jugular vein? This is a union territory of India. Its only relationship with Pakistan is the vacation of illegally occupied territories by that country...," Jaiswal said, as quoted by news agency ANI.
