NEET PG 2025 notification released, exam in June, registration starts from April 17, check schedule

NEET PG exam date: Amid rumors of NEET PG postponement, a big update (NEET PG 2025) has come out for the candidates. The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences has announced the exam date. The registration process will start from Thursday, April 17. Candidates will be able to apply by visiting the official website natboard.edu.in. The last date for registration is May 7, 2025.
NBEMS has not yet given information about the fees. The link of the information bulletin will be activated soon. Eligibility, criteria etc. information will be available by 3 pm on Thursday. It is advisable to visit the official website regularly for updates.
When will the exam be held?
The NEET PG exam will be held on June 15, 2025 in various cities across the country. The results will be declared by July 15. There is no change in the number of shifts. According to the previous notice, the exam will be conducted in two shifts in computer based test mode. The first shift will run from 9 am to 12:30 pm. The second shift will run from 3:30 pm to 7 pm. However, candidates and doctors’ associations have urged the board to conduct the exam in a single shift.
Importance of the exam
On the basis of the score obtained in NEET PG, admission will be done in various colleges and institutes across the country for medical post graduation courses (like MD, MS and PG Diploma courses). The percentile will be used to fill 50% AIQ quota seats. This year the number of seats has been increased, which was informed by the Health Ministry in the Lok Sabha.
Who can apply?
Candidates who have done MBBS from medical institutions recognized by NMC can register. Apart from this, mandatory internship should also be completed. The last date for which is 15 August 2025. However, there is no age limit prescribed for the applicants.
