America’s prestigious Time magazine has released the list of 100 most influential people in the world in the year 2025. Along with personalities like US President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, the chief advisor of the interim government of Bangladesh and the one who spews venom against India, Muhammad Yunus has also found a place in this list. Muhammad Yunus has been given a place in the list of 100 influential personalities of Time magazine after he became the chief advisor of Bangladesh after the coup of Sheikh Hasina due to the revolt of students last year.

Hillary Clinton praised Yunus

In an article published in Time, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has praised Muhammad Yunus. Clinton has praised Mohammad Yunus’ role in taking Bangladesh towards democracy after violent student protests. However, Bangladesh’s own political parties are now looking at Mohammad Yunus ‘ efforts to restore democracy in the country with suspicion.

Clinton wrote, ‘Last year, a student-led uprising ousted Bangladesh ‘s authoritarian prime minister, leaving a celebrated leader to lead the country toward democracy – Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus.’ The former US Secretary of State recalled and praised Muhammad Yunus’ work in establishing the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh.

Not a single Indian in Times 100

The Time 100 list honours influential personalities across the world for their influence and leadership. This year’s list features several global figures from politics, entertainment, science and business, each honoured for their significant influence and contribution during the past year. However, this year there are no Indian names on the list.
