'Our Religion Is Different, We Are Two Nations': Pakistan's Army Chief General Asim Munir Spews Hate Against Hindus, Continues Anti-India Rhetoric

Islamabad: Pakistani Army chief General Asim Munir on Wednesday made anti-Hindu remarks and continued with his anti-India rhetoric while addressing the Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad. Justifying the two-nation theory, General Munir said that India and Pakistan are two different nations. He stressed that Hindus are different from Pakistan in every aspect.

Speaking at the event, the Pakistani Army chief stated that every Pakistani should narrate the story of the country to the coming generations so that they should not forget the story of the creation of Pakistan.

General Asim Munir's Statement:

"You should narrate the story of Pakistan to your children so that they should not forget the story of Pakistan. Our forefathers thought that they were different from Hindus in every possible aspect of life. Our religion is different, our customs are different, our traditions are different, our thoughts are different, our ambitions are different," General Munir said.

"That was the foundation of the two-nation theory. We are two nations. We are not one nation. So because of that our forefathers struggled, mounted that incessant struggle to create this country. Our forefathers, they have sacrificed immensely, and we have sacrificed a lot for the creation of this country, and we know how to defend it," he added.

The Pakistani Army chief also poked India over the Kashmir issue. He said that no power in the world could separate Kashmir from Pakistan.

General Munir made anti-India remarks days after India came down heavily on Pakistan for once again bringing up the Kashmir issue during a United Nations debate on peacekeeping reforms. India also asked Pakistan to vacate parts of Kashmir which are "illegally" occupied by Islamabad.

During the event in Islamabad, General Munir, also vowed to crack down on terrorists in Balochistan, stating that "even ten generations of terrorists cannot harm Balochistan and Pakistan," reported Dawn.

General Munir assured that the country's armed forces will overcome the threat posed by terrorists, specifically mentioning groups like Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) and Baloch Republican Army (BRA).

"We will beat the hell out of these terrorists very soon ...you think, these 1500 terrorists belonging to BLA, BLF BRA, etc, can take away Balochistan from us ..," said Munir.
