MP Arora listens to issues of industrialists

During a function organised by the Bahadur-Ke Textile and Knitwear Association here on Tuesday, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora was briefed on long-pending issues faced by the local industries. Arora lent a patient ear to the industrialists and discussed each concern with relevant officials. He announced plans to enhance road infrastructure, stating that at least two roads would be connected to Bahadur-Ke Road, eventually linking the area to the Ludhiana-Rupnagar Expressway. GLADA Chief Administrator Sandeep Kumar confirmed a survey would be conducted for the project.

Addressing the staff shortage in the PSPCL, Arora called an official of the corporation to the stage and instructed him to make immediate arrangements of the required personnel to handle industrial complaints. Arora was also informed about complications involving building bylaws and NOCs and he requested detailed documentation to take up the matter.

Industrialist Iqbal Saini remarked, “We’ve heard the slogan ‘Bhagwant Mann Sarkar Tuhade Dwar,’ but for the first time, we’re witnessing issues getting resolved on the spot.”

The event was attended by ADC Amarjit Bains, GLADA Chief Administrator Sandeep Kumar, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur, MLAs Madan Lal Bagga and Daljit Singh Bhola, as well as officials from PSPCL and Punjab Police.
