Gujarat Governor urges educators to lead with compassion

Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat,—an embodiment of simplicity, strength, and spiritual intellect— visited BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School for an impactful session, “Empowering the Educators.” The event began with a ceremonial lamp-lighting ceremony, led by Acharya, and members of the school management.

A welcome song in Sanskrit was sung by the students as a tribute to the rich heritage of the language. Enhancing the cultural mosaic of the day was a classical dance performance “Sadhna – Find Your True Rhythm.” This mesmerising dance depicted the essence of dedication, self-discovery, and the pursuit of one’s passion—not merely in the pursuit of conventional success but in the profound joy of inner fulfilment. In addition, a solo song performance by a talented young artist captivated the audience.

Then arrived the moment that turned the event into a sacred dialogue—the motivational discourse by Acharya Devvrat. With grace in his words and serenity in his presence, Acharya redefined the role of educators—not merely as teachers, but as sculptors of souls, as guardians of values, and as warriors of wisdom. His message was clear: True education is not about filling minds with facts, but igniting hearts with purpose.

His words carried the essence of Indian tradition, yet seamlessly blended with contemporary thought as he urged teachers to lead with compassion, discipline, and character. As he spoke, a profound stillness—not of silence, but of reflection— embraced the audience, leaving the educators inspired and transformed. The school presented a token of gratitude to the Governor, honouring not just his presence but his inspiring aura and divine energy that uplifted every spirit.

Dr Paramjit Kaur, director, Arya Samaj Group of schools, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing deep and heartfelt gratitude for the Governor. She said his inspiring presence would resonate in every educator’s journey ahead, guiding their actions with renewed purpose and inner strength.

The day drew to a close with the National Anthem, resonating as a hymn of pride, unity, and responsibility towards nation-building through education.
