Dhaba operator shot dead over old rivalry in Gurugram, five men booked
A dhaba operator was allegedly shot dead at his eatery in Jatoli village on Tuesday over an old rivalry following a murder in 2020. An FIR was registered against five persons at the Pataudi police station.
According to the police, the incident took place at 11:55 pm when the dhaba operator, Deepender (37), was at the spot with his worker, Mahender (50). Three people came there on a motorcycle and fired shots at Deepender. They also attacked Mahender when he intervened and later fled the spot. Both the injured were rushed to CHC, Pataudi, where doctors declared Monu dead while Mahender was referred to a Gurugram hospital.
On the complaint of the victim’s brother, Rohit, an FIR has been registered against Ritik, Amit, Rohit, Jai Bhagwan and Vikas.
“In 2020, Inderjeet, uncle of Ritik and Amit, was murdered by Rohit, who was lodged in jail in a murder case and was on bail now. To take avenge his death, the accused shot dead the dhaba operator. We are conducting raids to nab the accused,” said a police spokesperson.
