Bhopal: Selection Process Of 325 Hawak Force Jawans Begins, Commandos Will Be Selected From MP Police, GRP, SAF
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The state government has approved 325 posts in Hawk Force for which the appointment process has begun. The union government has set the date for elimination of left wing extremism (LWE) as March 2026. Keeping in view the deadline, the state government has also started preparations.
The status that SEALs have in America and NSG commandos in India, the same status is of Hawk Force in MP. Hawk Force is a special commando unit of MP Police, which is made capable of handling any dangerous situation by giving special training to combat left wing extremists. The Hawk Force was formed in 1998 to deal with Naxalites.
Jawans are being selected from MP Police, SAF, GRP, District Force. All these posts will be filled through deputation for 5 years.
At present, there are 1,200 jawans in Hawk Force but after new appointments, there will be more than 1,500 jawans in this special squad. This process is likely to be completed in two months.
Difficult selection process
There are tough parameters to join Hawk Force. Any police personnel must have at least five years of experience and his age should not be more that 35 years. Along with this, out of the applications received for joining the Hawk Force, only those candidates are shortlisted whose track record of the last five years is excellent. After this, a physical test is taken in which abilities like long jump, high jump, running, firing are tested.
The selected soldiers undergo a rigorous two-month training specially designed for Hawk Force. After this, they are sent for training in Greyhound Force, Andhra Pradesh or Mizoram. After becoming successful from there, they are sent for duty at the designated place as per the need.
The selection process for 325 new posts for Hawk Force has begun. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria of Hawk Force are selected from all the wings of MP Police.
