In the Civil Services Examination 2023, Aditya Srivastava secured the top rank by securing 1099 marks. Hailing from Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow, Aditya completed his Class 10th and Class 12th from City Montessori School. While his personal life is concerned, his father worked as an Audit Officer (AO) in the Central Audit Department, and his mother is a homemaker.
Aditya has consistently been an outstanding student from his school days. He scored 97.8% in the Class 10 board exams (2012) and 97.5% in the Class 12 board exams (2014). He later cleared the JEE exam and earned a spot at IIT Kanpur, where he graduated as a gold medalist. According to his LinkedIn profile, Aditya achieved an All India Rank of 386 in JEE Advanced and an All India Rank of 194 in JEE Mains 2014.

After clearing both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced, Aditya secured admission to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, where he pursued a B.Tech-M.Tech Dual Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Aditya began his professional career as an analyst at Goldman Sachs in Bangalore, earning a lucrative salary of around Rs 2.5 lakhs per month. However, driven by a deep desire to serve his country, he made the bold decision to leave his high-paying job. Motivated by nationalism, Aditya returned to Lucknow and dedicated himself to preparing for the Union Public Service Commission’s civil services exam.
Initially, Aditya appeared for UPSC Civil Services examination in 2021; however, he was unable to crack the exam in his first attempt. Later in 2022, he once again appeared for the exam. Speaking of his marks, Aditya Srivastava secured an impression All India rank of 236. In the UPSC Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2022, he scored 803 marks in his written exam. He obtained 173 marks in the personality test, totaling 976 marks. This led him to earn a place in the Indian Police Service (IPS).
In 2023, Srivastava approached his third attempt. His dedication and adaptability paid off as he secured the top rank with AIR 1 and became an IAS Officer, proving that consistency and the ability to adjust are key to success. He got 899 marks in the written examination and 200 marks in the personality test. Overall, he scored 1099 marks in the Civil Services(Main) Examination, 2023. He achieved All India Rank 1. Srivastava has been given the Uttar Pradesh IAS cadre after completing his training at the academy and is now posted in his home state of Uttar Pradesh.
