National Herald Case : BJP’s VD Sharma Slams Opposition For Crying Foul After ED Names Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi In Chargesheet; Says Case Was Filed During Congress' Rule
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): BJP State President VD Sharma said that Congress is making a 'hullabaloo' over naming of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the ED charge sheet in the National Herald case, but it forgot that the case was filed during the Congress government’s tenure.
He stated that Congress has no moral right to protest over the issue. Sharma added that the case began in 2012-13, when Congress was in power at the centre. It is up to Congress to investigate who conspired against its leadership. The case was filed way before the Modi government came to power.
He accused Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi of usurping the properties of the National Herald newspaper and using them for commercial purposes.
He further stated that instead of making a public fuss over the issue, Congress should file an appropriate reply in court. He emphasised that Congress has no shortage of top lawyers to defend the Gandhi family.
He concluded by saying that the law will take its own course, and under Modi's leadership, all agencies are working fairly, transparently, and without any bias, ensuring justice is served in a just and impartial manner.
