Sensex, Nifty 50 extend relief rally to third straight session, gain up to 0.5%; bank stocks top contributors

Nifty 50 end 0.50% higher at 23,446 points, while the Sensex closed with a gain of 0.43% at 77,063 points. Broader markets continued to outperform frontline indices, with the Nifty Midcap 100 index ending the session 0.72% higher at 52,347 points, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 index rose 1.09%.
