Preity Zinta uses song from this superhit movie to put her children to sleep, the song is…, movie is…

Back in the sweet era of the 2000s, many blockbuster songs were not just pleasing to our ears and good to vibe on, but they also left a mark on us. Even today if you play those songs, they might just transport you back in time and give you the treat of nostalgia. Whether it is was a school performance an event gathering or your college farewell, we all have that one song that’s etched so much in our brain that it instantly take you down the memory lane.

One such song that holds an emotional weight for many is the title track of “Koi Mil Gaya” and not just us but even Preity Zinta recently revealed in an interaction with ANI that this song holds a special value to her. The actress shares that she often plays the melodious Koi mil Gaya title track to lull her kids. “The title track, ‘Koi Mil Gaya,’ is something I play when my kids don’t go to sleep; it helps calm them down,” She revealed.

Given the hype and beautiful tune of the song that had on her career, Preity’s deep emotional connection to the song isn’t surprising. Directed by Rakesh Roshan, the film starred Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, and Rekha. The story had Hritik Roshan as Rohit Mehra, a young man with developmental challenges who gains extraordinary abilities after meeting an alien named Jaadoo. The film was not only a box-office success but also a turning point in Indian science-fiction cinema.

Adding to the nostalgic wave, Preity shared a memorable behind-the-scenes story from the film’s set. She recalls how she was annoyed with Hrithik Roshan because he was late on the first day of the shoot. Later, when he tapped on her shoulder, she was stunned to see that Hritik Roshan seemed completely transformed in the character’s avatar. She later realised that he was already there all this while, only she couldn’t recognize him.  She says, “I was taken aback by his transformation. That’s when it struck me that Hrithik had been on set all along; it was just that I did not recognize him.”

Even two decades later, the film’s impact continues to resonate. Preity, also shares another emotional connection that she has with Koi Mil Gaya which is a sweet nod to the film. She says that sometimes lovingly refers to her children as “Jado” as a heartfelt homage to the character “Jadoo.”

Koi Mil Gaya may have been about a fictional alien who gives magical powers to Rohit but the real magic lies in its songs and stories that even today bring comfort and nostalgia.
