Meet Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s brother-in-law Aman Majithia, founder of fashion brand…, holds key position in Merchant family’s Rs 2000 crore business as…
After the grand wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in 2024, not only did the Ambani family draw headlines, but a few new faces from Radhika’s side also caught public attention. One of them was Aman Majithia, who appeared in many viral photos and videos from the celebrations. Married to Anjali Merchant, Radhika’s sister, Aman’s presence sparked curiosity people wanted to know more about the man who quietly stood beside one of India’s most influential families.
But Aman Majithia isn’t just known for his ties to the Merchants. He has built a strong identity of his own in the business world. Back in 2017, Aman founded Vataly, an online fashion and lifestyle brand. What’s interesting is that he hadn’t planned to step into fashion. In fact, it was his love for clean, smart design and his disappointment with the repetitive trends in Indian retail that motivated him to start his own label. He wanted to offer something fresh, something that reflected his taste and filled a creative gap he noticed in the market.
His entrepreneurial journey didn’t stop there. In 2019, Aman stepped into the family business — Encore Healthcare, a well-established pharmaceutical company run by his father-in-law Viren Merchant. Aman now serves as Associate Director, where he helps drive the company’s operations and expansion. Encore is known for manufacturing high-quality tablets and capsules, supplying both domestic and international markets.
Plays a critical role at Encore Healthcare
While Aman Majithia gained public attention through his ties to the high-profile Ambani-Merchant wedding, his professional journey is equally noteworthy. According to his LinkedIn profile, Aman plays a critical role at Encore Healthcare, where he manages the operations and strategic resources of the company’s Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) unit. His responsibilities include setting business goals, tracking performance targets, and managing both internal and external relationships to drive long-term growth.
Encore Healthcare isn’t just a family-run business — it’s a Rs 2,000 crore enterprise that operates in the global pharmaceutical space. Aman’s wife Anjali Merchant and her sister Radhika Merchant both serve on the Board of Directors, making it a tightly knit, family-led company.
Aman’s academic background
He earned his degree from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business in Pennsylvania, where he studied economics, entrepreneurship, and political science. He also spent a semester at the University of Virginia, studying subjects like political science, economics, and organizational behavior — the same university his wife Anjali attended.
