Neither India nor China, the first human on earth was born in…., scientists name five locations, including…
There has always been a debate around the place where the first humans of the world have been born. Some sources say that Africa is the source of humans and the first human being was born in some parts of the African continent but others quote different locations around the world. However, here is an answer to all of your questions on the history of humanity.
One of the places which has been known as the source of humanity is the Garden of Eden. The Garden of Earth is described in the holy book Bible as a paradise where the first humans, Adam and Eve lived. While many consider the place as imaginary, it has been a point of discussion for both religious scholars and scientists for a very long time. Talking of today, while some believe that the place is imaginary, others believe it may be real.
The Bible also mentions that a historic river flowed out of Eden and split into four parts, namely, Pishon, Gihon, Tigris, and Euphrates. The Bible says that two of these rivers, the Tigris and Euphrates, still exist in the modern times and it flow through modern-day Iraq. Therefore, all these points indicate that the Eden may have been located in the region near Iraq and Iran.
While this is one of the theories, other theories extend further and say that some scholars suggest Pishon and Gihon might refer to the Nile in Egypt and the Ganges (Ganga) in India. A 2024 study by Dr. Konstantin Borisov proposed Egypt as the site of Eden, linking the rivers to the Nile, Euphrates, Tigris, and Indus. Still, many reports across the world point to the African continent as the true cradle of humankind and also the place where the first human was born.
Getting back to Africa, South Africa has a place known as the Cradle of Humankind and Ethiopia’s Omo Valley, where the oldest human fossils have been found. Seen as the biggest evidence for proving history, it makes the place the strong contender in the race. Concludingly, it can be said that while the true location remains a mystery, these theories highlight how ancient texts and modern science continue to intersect in the search for our origins.
