Breaking: Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi Meet at Mallikarjun Kharge's Residence for Key Alliance Talks

As Bihar gears up for Assembly elections later this year, the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) has intensified its preparations. A crucial meeting between key alliance partners, RJD and Congress, was held at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence in Delhi. Present at the meeting were Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who flew in from Bihar. Sources reveal that this high-level discussion focused on seat-sharing arrangements and the Chief Ministerial face for the alliance. The two main sticking points remain: how many seats Congress will contest, and when Tejashwi Yadav will officially be declared the CM candidate. In the 2020 elections, Congress was allocated 70 seats but won only 19, which many blamed for the alliance’s failure to form the government. RJD is reportedly reluctant to give Congress the same number of seats this time. However, Congress has been actively rebuilding its presence in Bihar, with multiple visits from Rahul Gandhi and a new state leadership. This Delhi meeting is expected to build consensus on these key issues. A broader Mahagathbandhan meeting is scheduled for April 17 in Patna, where final decisions on seat-sharing and strategy are likely to be announced. The alliance aims to present a united front ahead of the high-stakes election.
