SUCHETGARH, Apr 14: The JKPCC chief, Tariq Hameed Karra has cautioned the people against attempts to weaken the constitution by the Modi Govt and said it’s time to fight for safeguarding the constitution and constitutional values in the country.
Addressing a party gathering at Suchetgarh near Indo-Pak border today along with AICC general secretary & CLP leader G A Mir besides several other senior leaders of the party including working presidents Tara Chand and Raman Bhalla, AICC secretary Neeraj Kundan, former MP TS Bajwa, Balwan Singh, Ved Mahajan, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, Yashpal Kundal, Th Hari Singh Chib, S S Channi, MK Bhardwaj and others, Karra lashed out at BJP and Modi Govt for weakening the constitution and its soul everyday by multiple ways.
The function was organised by Bhushan Dogra, contesting candidate in connection with the birth anniversary of father of constitution Dr B R Ambedkar.
Karra elaborated on the pressing challenges that confront these core values, noting that various forces are currently at work, actively undermining and attacking the principles of equality and justice that have been painstakingly established throughout India’s history. He expressed concern that these efforts threaten to weaken the very foundation of the Constitution, which was designed to protect and promote the rights of all citizens, irrespective of their background.
In light of these challenges, Karra urged the people to rise to the occasion and take proactive measures to defend the Constitution and uphold the democratic institutions that underpin the nation.
Mir conveyed a call to action, emphasizing that it is the responsibility of every citizen to protect the democratic framework and the rights it guarantees, thereby ensuring that the vision and values laid out by Dr. Ambedkar continue to thrive in Indian society. He underscored that Dr. Ambedkar’s tireless and selfless dedication to the principles of social justice, equality, and human rights serves as a powerful source of inspiration for present and future generations.
Tara Chand added that he was the father of Indian Constitution Dr. Ambedkar was Godfather of Dalit’s and downtrodden, who led the millions of oppressed people to self-respect and dignified life, Further added and said even after braving the brunt of social stigma and oppression Babasaheb remained committed to fight against inequality and equal rights to down trodden and oppressed people in India.
Raman Bhalla hailed the great contributions of Dr. Ambedkar to Nation and said the selfless services of the latter are bound to inspire the generations, leading them at the path of social justice and equality which is guaranteed under the Constitution of India.
Neeraj Kundan said that Ambedkar’s efforts to bring the deprived sections of society into the mainstream will remain an example for every generation. Kundan added that adhering to the principles of the Constitution and ensuring the fruits of democracy to reach all would be best and befitting tribute to the great luminary.
