Dr Jitendra meets Yogi Adityanath, UP to get major technology push

LUCKNOW, Apr 14: During his one day visit here today, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his official residence for a one to one meeting lasting over thirty minutes.
The meeting assumes significance because it comes at a time when, with the assistance of the Yogi Government in the State and the support of the Modi Government at the Centre, UP is set to get a major technology push.
The two leaders discussed a range of matters related to upcoming as well as new projects planned for the State. They discussed plans for the expansion of scientific infrastructure in the state, including new innovation hubs, residential facilities for researchers, and the establishment of additional biotechnology parks.
The Chief Minister expressed strong interest in developing Uttar Pradesh as a hub for science and innovation and conveyed his Government’s readiness to provide land for new projects. Currently, the Department of Science and Technology operates three laboratories in the state, and the proposed expansion marks a major step toward scaling up research and innovation capacity.
Dr. Jitendra Singh acknowledged the Chief Minister’s proactive stance and said the spirit of collaboration between the Centre and the state Government had paved the way for rapid progress across various sectors.
“Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office at the Centre, there has been a fast -track transformation across the country and this can be seen in Uttar Pradesh as well”, said Dr Jitendra Singh.
The discussions also touched upon the creation of dedicated outlets and platforms to promote innovation at the grassroots level. With its large youth population and growing infrastructure, Uttar Pradesh is emerging as a promising destination for scientific development.
