New Delhi: The Lucknow Super Giants made light work of their chase, grabbing a confident 6-wicket win over the Gujarat Giants in Match 26 of IPL 2025 at the Ekana Stadium. With the crowd behind them, Nicholas Pooran brought the fireworks with a blistering 61 off just 31 balls, while Aiden Markram played the perfect partner with a classy 58 off 31. Together, they steered Lucknow home with three balls to spare, wrapping up the night in style.

Nicholas Pooran’s impressive innings, featuring seven sixes and only one four, unfortunately resulted in a spectator injury. A widely circulated video shows a fan being treated for a head wound after being struck by one of Pooran’s powerful hits. Despite requiring significant first aid, the fan remained at the match to its conclusion.

Lucknow Super Giants’ Nicholas Pooran has been a standout performer in IPL 2025, exhibiting exceptional batting form. His impressive 31 sixes are only one fewer than the total hit by the entire Chennai Super Kings team. Pooran’s consistent powerful hitting has significantly contributed to his team’s success this season.

After Rishabh Pant’s dismissal, leaving Lucknow Super Giants at 65/1, Nicholas Pooran joined Aiden Markram and significantly boosted the team’s score against the Gujarat Titans with a powerful batting performance.

The batsman’s innings featured a particularly impressive over against spinner Sai Kishore, where he scored 24 runs, including three sixes. He achieved his fifth half-century of the season in a rapid 23 balls.

The West Indies team amassed 349 runs in six innings, achieving an impressive run rate of 215.43. This significantly surpasses the next highest scorer, Gujarat’s Sai Sudharsan with 273 runs, and no other batter has reached 300 runs.
