Breaking News: Protests Intensify Against Waqf Amendment law Across India | ABP NEWS

Protests against the Waqf Amendment Act continue across various parts of the country, particularly in West Bengal, where Muslim organizations are leading the charge. These protests have been ongoing, with numerous demonstrations organized by different groups. One of the key protests occurred in North Dinajpur, West Bengal, where a large crowd gathered under the leadership of TMC MLA Hamid Ur Rahman. Hundreds of people took to the streets, voicing their opposition to the law. The protests were held amid heavy security presence. In addition, other Muslim organizations held meetings across different regions, including Odisha, where discussions regarding the Waqf law were held. The Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, one of the leading Muslim organizations, also hosted a meeting, during which its president, Maulana Mahmood Madani, made a strong statement. He claimed that the Waqf law is designed to seize Muslim land and accused the government of oppressing Muslims. Madani even expressed willingness to make sacrifices in opposition to the law. Madani criticized the law, stating that it does not benefit any community, including Muslims, and that it harms the broader society. He further questioned the government's intentions, arguing that the law was politically motivated and not in the best interest of the nation.
