"On March 24, the complainant Yadav, while going to his native village in Madhubani district, kept the five-year-old female Labrador in the parking area and asked his neighbour to take care of her till they came back. A few days later, the neighbour informed the Yadav family that their dog had been crying for the last two days. Acting on the information, with the help of a CCTV camera, Yadav noticed that the dog had been crying on March 26 and 27. After analysing the CCTV footage, it was found that Shaikh was playing with the dog on March 26 around 11:30pm in the parking slot and took her to a dark place in the area," the police said.

"Complainant Yadav came back with his family on April 7. Following Shaikh's presence on the day of the incident at the parking slot, the complainant asked him, but he refused to speak.
