Charu Asopa SLAMS Ex-Husband Rajeev Sen For Questioning Her Financial Struggles: 'Whatever I Do Is Drama For This Man'
Sushmita Sen's ex-sister-in-law Charu Asopa recently revealed that she moved back to Bikaner, Rajasthan, due to financial struggles in Mumbai, where her monthly expenses ranged between Rs 1-1.5 lakh. She has since started an online clothing business. However, her ex-husband, actor Rajeev Sen, questioned her claims of financial hardship, pointing out that she recently went on an expensive cruise trip with her brother and sister-in-law—and even paid for everyone’s tickets. "Where does this financial struggle come into play?" he asked.
On Saturday, Charu hit back at Sen's claims through her Instagram Story. She wrote, "Wow that's beautiful, whatever I do is always drama for this man."

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Rajeev claimed that Charu has kept their 3-year-old daughter, Zaina, away from him, revealing that he last met her in January. He shared that while he was recently in Delhi for work, he messaged Charu asking if he could visit Bikaner to see their daughter—but received no response. This contrasts Charu's previous statements, where she said that Rajeev is welcome to visit Zaina anytime in Bikaner.
He added, "She’s looking to buy a house in Bikaner—or maybe already has—which takes serious money. Even with a loan, buying property isn’t cheap. Plus, if she's managing cruises and her regular shopping—as seen in her daily vlogs—it clearly shows she’s not struggling financially. Anyone truly under financial stress wouldn’t even dream of buying property."
Rajeev also shared that he had asked Charu to consider moving back to Mumbai, urging her to prioritise their daughter and give her a better chance at life.
"Not that we need to get married again, but at least she’ll have her own house, her own space. But I don’t know what’s going on in her mind. Maybe too many people are influencing her, but at some point, she has to take responsibility and think long term about what’s truly best for her and for Ziana," concluded Sen.
