Apple Rolls Out ‘Apple Intelligence’ Features in India with iOS 18.4 Update

New Delhi – Apple has officially launched its much-anticipated ‘Apple Intelligence’ features in India, bringing a powerful suite of AI-driven tools to iPhones, iPads, and Macs. With the release of iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4, Indian users can now experience Apple’s personalized AI system that integrates seamlessly across its ecosystem while maintaining a strong emphasis on user privacy.

A standout feature of the update is Writing Tools, which allows users to rewrite, proofread, and summarise text directly within apps like Mail, Messages, Notes, Pages, and even third-party platforms. Users can adjust tone, improve grammar, or generate concise summaries with just a tap. For those looking for more creative edits, the “Describe Your Change” option offers granular control over writing style.

Apple has also enhanced the Photos app with AI-powered tools such as Clean Up, which lets users remove distracting objects from photos, and Memories, where users can create curated videos by simply typing a description. Natural language search now works across photos and videos, making it easier to find specific moments.

The newly introduced Image Playground allows users to generate fun and custom images in styles like animation, illustration, or sketch, using themes or even likenesses from personal photo libraries. Meanwhile, Genmoji takes emoji creation to a new level, letting users create personalized emojis from text prompts or photos, complete with accessories and themes.

In the Notes and Phone apps, users can now record, transcribe, and summarise audio, including live phone calls—with participants automatically notified.

Apple Intelligence also powers the redesigned Siri, which now offers more natural, contextual interactions and the ability to switch between text and voice inputs. The assistant can now answer thousands of Apple-specific queries and integrate with ChatGPT for even deeper capabilities, all without switching apps.

For tasks that go beyond the device’s processing limits, Apple uses Private Cloud Compute, an Apple Silicon-powered server infrastructure that prioritises data privacy. No user data is stored or used for training AI models, and independent experts can review the system for transparency.

With support for Indian English and new tools designed to enhance productivity, creativity, and everyday tasks, Apple Intelligence represents a significant leap in AI integration—while setting a new standard for user privacy.
