Why Did Ajit Pawar’s Younger Son Jay Get Engaged Before Elder Son Parth? Deputy CM Has A Humourous Answer (VIDEO)
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's younger son, Jay Pawar, got engaged to Rutuja Patil on Thursday in a private ceremony held at a farmhouse in Ghotawade on the outskirts of Pune.
What made the occasion noteworthy was the presence of NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar, despite the ongoing political divide between the nephew-uncle duo.
Along with the senior Pawar, his wife Pratibha Pawar, their daughter and NCP-SP MP Supriya Sule also attended the ceremony.
Yugendra Pawar, Ajit's nephew who contested the recently held Assembly polls from Baramati against him, also attended the event.
Last month, ahead of the engagement ceremony, Jay and his fiancée visited the NCP founder’s Pune residence to seek his blessings.
Meanwhile, reporters on Friday asked the Deputy CM why his younger son got engaged before his elder son Parth. As usual, Ajit Pawar gave a humorous response.
He said, "Jay ne tyacha tharavala; Parth ne tyacha tharavala, tar tyacha karu (Jay made his decision to get engaged. When Parth makes his, we'll organise his engagement too)."
