The Language and Culture Department of Himachal Pradesh, in collaboration with Keekli Charitable Trust, Shimla, will host a three-day literary festival, ‘Mimamsa-2025’, at Gaiety Theatre in Shimla starting April 18.

The festival would showcase a diverse range of celebrated authors, storytellers, educators and literary enthusiasts, including Devdutt Pattanaik, Priya Kuriyan, Sohaila Kapur, Shriniwas Joshi, Dr Usha Bande, Prof Meenakshi F Paul and Alok Singh.

A variety of sessions would be featured, including poetry recitations, storytelling events, art competitions and interactive workshops. The inaugural day would include a special interaction between Priya Kuriyan and young artists, as well as a wordplay workshop by Alok Singh.

The second day would offer an audio-video narration of ‘Anand hi Anand’ by Sohaila Kapur, while the final day would feature a special session with Devdutt Pattanaik and an award ceremony to conclude the festival.

“Mimamsa 2025 has something for everyone — children, parents, teachers and all literature lovers. Whether you’re a budding writer, an avid reader, or simply a seeker of stories, this festival is your haven,” said a spokesperson from the department.

With a mix of literary sessions and workshops, the festival promises to be a significant cultural event for Shimla’s residents and visitors alike.
