SGAD Govt College gets new principal

Dr Surinder Kaur has taken over the charge of principal of the local Sri Guru Arjan Dev (SGAD) Government College on Wednesday.

The post of the principal was lying vacant for the last seven years and the department had made alternative arrangement for the smooth working of the college.

Dr Surinder Kaur had previously served as an associate professor in the physics department at Sarup Rani Government College, Amritsar.

She has been promoted by the Higher Education Department recently. Dr Surinder Kaur was welcomed on the occasion by Professor Dr Gurinderjeet Kaur, along with the faculty members and students of the college.

She said it was her good fortune to serve as the principal in the city of Tarn Taran, which was established by Sri Guru Arjan Dev.

She would fulfill her responsibilities with dedication, she assured the staff and students., inviting them to approach her directly with their issues.

Amritsar
