China builds world’s highest bridge, its height is…, it is 9 times higher than…
China has once again shown its engineering prowess. Chinese engineers have accomplished the feat of building the world’s tallest bridge. Amazing drone footage of the world’s tallest bridge in Huajiang, China has emerged, showing it being built. The bridge is expected to be opened this year. The Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge is 9 times higher than London’s Golden Gate Bridge. It is twice the height of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. In the amazing footage, engineers engaged in the construction of the bridge are seen finalizing the work.
This bridge being built in China is so high that clouds can be seen passing along the bridge during construction work. This bridge is built over the Beipan River. According to a report, the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge is 2.9 kilometers long and 2050 feet above the river. The central part of the bridge is made of 93 sections and weighs a total of 22,000 tons. This is three times the total weight of the Eiffel Tower.
Highest bridge in the world
This bridge is set to break the world record with its inauguration. However, currently China holds the title of the world’s highest bridge. It is the Beipanjiang Bridge in Guizhou province, which is about 320-km north of the Huaijiang Grand Canyon Bridge. This bridge with four lanes of traffic was completed in 2016 and stands 1788 feet high over the Beipan River.
After the opening of the Huajiang Bridge, the local people are going to get a big relief in connectivity. Currently, one has to spend at least an hour to cross the huge valley, but after this huge bridge is opened to the people, this distance will be reduced to just 2 to 3 minutes. The special thing is that the construction of this bridge, being built at a cost of $ 292 million, started in 2022 and in just three years it is almost ready to open.
