Born in Candana, this actress faced major hardships. When she moved to India, she had only Rs 5,000 in her pocket and had a sea-like city to survive. She took up various odd jobs to survive. From working in a hookah bar to being bullied, she faced a lot. If you are wondering who we are talking about, then the actress in the discussion is Nora Fatehi.

The Dilbar star, Nora Fatehi is counted as one of the best dancers in the country today. She started her career with Roar: Tigers of the Sunderbans in 2014 as one of the top names in the cinema idustry. However, her jounrye was not smooth.

In an interview, the actress revealed that her auditions were really traumatic because, during that time she was learning to speak Hindi and sometimes would make a fool out of herself. She said, “People were unforgiving; they would laugh in my face. I would sit in the rickshaw and I would be howling, and the driver would be like ‘Are you okay?’”

During the conversation, Nora revealed that she faced massive rejected from casting directors and some even asked her to go back to her country. She further said that it felt extremely hurtful to see such reactions. She said that while growing up she and her community (Morrocon peopel) admired Bollywood celebs and Indian cinema has played a crucical part for them.

In another interview, Nora said that she initially faced poverty and had to take odd jobs to meet daily needs. She said that she also worked at a Hookah bar during her struggle days.

The actress said, “Whatever opportunities I have got have been very last minute, and thankfully I was prepared. I wouldn’t go out and socialise and party like all the other girls did and have a boyfriend. I’d lock myself in a room every day, learn the language, watch TV and practice in my room. I missed out on my brother’s wedding, his birthday, everything. So many people were like, ‘You want to be like the next Katrina Kaif?.”

After a lot of struggle and hard work, Nora finally made it big in Bollywood, and today as per media reports, she charges Rs 2 crore for one song.
