The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia has said that people wishing to perform Hajj will be allowed to do so only if they book through the relevant Saudi platforms. The ministry also said that people should avoid misleading offers.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said in a statement that those wishing to perform Hajj will only be allowed to do so if they book through the relevant Saudi platforms that provide authorised Hajj visas. The ministry warned those who wish to participate in Hajj but are planning to resort to illegal means to not use unofficial channels to book for the pilgrimage, the ministry said.

Tips to avoid misleading offers

The ministry said any information or offers circulated on unofficial channels are misleading and do not represent the ministry or relevant authorities. The ministry also said the public should verify the information to avoid falling prey to false advertisements or fraudulent Hajj offers. Official Hajj visas granted by the relevant Saudi authorities can be arranged by coordinating with Hajj affairs offices in 80 countries or through the “Nusuk Hajj” platform.

Bookings can be made directly through this platform designated for pilgrims from over 126 countries. The ministry also stressed that the “Electronic Portal” on its official website and the “Nusuk” app are the only approved channels for domestic pilgrims—citizens and residents of the state—to book Hajj packages.

Helpline issued for inquiries
