Cleanliness drive begins in Y’nagar’s Ram Nagar
Mayor Suman Bahamani has started a cleanliness drive at Ram Nagar in Ward 19 here, under the jurisdiction of the Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Municipal Corporation (MC).
During the launch of the drive, she visited various areas of Ram Nagar, and interacted with area residents. She talked to children about cleanliness at the government school located in the area. The Mayor said it was her goal to ensure that no citizen faced any problem.
“The MC is serious about solving the issues being faced by the people of the unapproved areas of the twin cities, including Ram Nagar. Soon, a letter will be written to the state government to get unapproved colonies approved, so that developmental works can be started in these colonies,” said Bahamani.
Addressing the public, the Mayor said the government was focussed on the all-round development of the state as there was no shortage of funds for developmental works.
“This is why the public has, once again, handed power to the BJP in the state. The party will maintain the trust of the people by carrying out equal development, and formulating public welfare policies,” Bahamani added.
“Any citizen can contact me directly with his/her problems or suggestions. Efforts will be made to get every person’s problem resolved immediately,” Bahamani said.
Municipal Councillor Harjeet Anand put forth various problems of the area before the Mayor. He said he would always be ready to serve the public.
Issues pertaining to roads, water arrangements and the sewerage system of the area were discussed.
