Information and Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav himself has released a video on the social media platform X giving information about this.

The video released on X shows that face ID authentication will be possible through this app and data will be shared with the consent of the user in a secure manner. Currently, this app is in beta testing phase, which is working towards improving Aadhaar verification. This will increase the privacy of users and also prevent misuse of Aadhaar.

10 features of the new Aadhaar app

1- Users can now share only necessary information as per their wish, so that their personal information will remain safe.

2- Just like scanning QR code in UPI payment, Aadhaar verification will now be as easy.

3- Now there will be no need for photocopy or scan of Aadhaar, everything will be done through the app.

4- Mobile app has the facility of login and verification through face identification, due to which security increases further.

5- Now there will be no need to give a copy of Aadhaar at hotels, shops or travel checkpoints.

6- 100% process is digital and your identity will be completely safe.

7- With this app, the risk of misuse or leakage of data related to Aadhaar card will also be reduced.

8- Any tampering with Aadhaar information or any kind of fraud will not be possible now.

9- Aadhaar verification will be done in a very short time and in an easy way.

10- Compared to old methods, the privacy of the user will be stronger in this.
