Indore Youth Arrested For Duping Man On Pretext Of Giving Job
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The city crime branch arrested a youth for duping a person of Rs 13,000 on pretext of providing a job in bank.
The officials claimed that the accused was arrested within 24 hours of the complaint.
According to additional DCP (crime) Rajesh Dandotiya, a complaint was received from Ramzan Khan, a resident of Banganga area. Khan stated in his complaint that he had seen an advertisement for job on a social media id of one Shubham Lowanshi on April 1.
He contacted Lowanshi after taking his number from the advertisement. The accused told him that he could get a job in bank.
The next day, Khan reached Rajwada and met Lowanshi, who took his mobile number and told him to transfer Rs 1 for the registration. When Khan transferred Rs 1, the accused saw his password.
After that the accused again took his mobile number on the pretext of registration and he transferred Rs 13,000 in two transactions. The complainant asked him about the money when the accused threatened him with dire consequences and fled the scene.
The complainant told the police that he gathered information about Lowanshi and found that he had duped many people in the past. After receiving a complaint, the accused was arrested by the crime branch.
