Chamba MLA Nayar chairs meet, reviews facilities at medical college

Chamba MLA Neeraj Nayar chaired a review meeting today to assess the various facilities being provided to the patients at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Government College, Chamba, and also to know about the challenges faced by the administration. During the meeting, Nayar conducted a detailed review of the steps being taken to improve public healthcare services and issued necessary directions to the concerned medical officers.

Responding to the institution’s demand for better security and support services, the MLA assured the establishment of a police outpost within the medical college premises. He stated that the matter would be brought to the attention of the Chief Minister to ensure the setting up of a dedicated police post.

Emphasising the need for coordinated efforts across departments, Nayar directed the hospital management to ensure the delivery of quality healthcare services. He also highlighted the issue of pending budget allocations under the Himcare and Ayushman Bharat schemes, assuring that the matter would be raised with the Chief Minister for early resolution.

To further improve patient care, he instructed the Medical Superintendent to ensure the availability of essential medicines and medical supplies. Department heads were also directed to provide advance information about required medicines and supplies to ensure seamless healthcare delivery. MLA Nayyar assured the swift resolution of various issues and demands raised by the medical officers during the meeting.
