This 90s actress has shared screen space with all three Khans of Bollywood and captivated hearts with her graceful charm and on-screen charisma. Her fame wasn’t just limited to India, but was admired across borders and even rumoured to be linked with a few Pakistani cricketers. We are talking about the ever-gorgeous Sonali Bendre.

Sonali made her Bollywood debut with Aag in the year 1994. Following that, she garnered recognition for her appearances in films like Diljale, Major Saab, Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, Hum Hum Saath Hain and Sarfarosh.

At the peak of her career, Sonali was linked to Pakistani cricketer, Shahid Afridi. However, when asked Afridi at the 17th International Urdu Conference and Karachi Festival about the same, he denied all the rumours and highlighted his personal milestones including becoming a grandfather.

After that, there were rumours claiming that Shoaib Akhtar had a huge crush on the actress and wanted to marry her. In 2019, Akhtar stated that he wanted to put an end to all the baseless rumours. Bendre had also clarified it as a fake news, while speaking to Shubhankar Mishra.

On the professional front, Sonali  appeared as judge on reality shows like India’s Best Dramebaaz, India’s Best Dancer 3 and, DID Li’ls Masters Season 5. Last year, The actress made her OTT debut with Zee 5’s drama series, The Broken News.

While everything was going hunky-dory in Bendre’s life, Sonali experienced a major health crisis after she was diagnosed with stage four, metastatic cancer in 2018. The actress underwent treatment in a New York City hospital and was declared cancer-free in 2021. Ever since, she has actively been seen raising awareness for the cause.
