'Kuttey Hai Log...': Sunita Ahuja Shuts Down Divorce Rumours With Govinda Due To 'Contrasting Lifestyle Choices'
Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja were rumoured to be heading for a divorce earlier this year after 37 years of marriage. Reports claimed that their 'contrasting lifestyle choices' were among the reasons for the rift. Previously, Govinda’s lawyer had confirmed that Sunita filed for divorce six months ago, but the matter was later resolved. Now, Sunita has finally reacted to the divorce rumours, stating all is well between the two.
In an interview with ABP, Sunita said, "Positive hai ya negative hai. Positive hai mujhe pata hai. Mai sochti hu kuttey hai log bhaukenge." Further, she added,"Jab tak aap mere ya Govinda ke mu se kuch na sunlo toh aap yeh mat socho kya hai kya nai hai."
Reportedly, the actor is involved in an extramarital affair with a 30-year-old Marathi actress, who allegedly played a major role in their rumoured split. However, there has been no confirmation on the matter, and her identity remains undisclosed.
The rumours of their divorce started after the Bollywood wife stated in an interview that she and Govinda lived separately. In January, she Pinkvilla’s Hindi Rush, "We have two houses, we have a bungalow opposite our apartment. I have my temple and my kids in the flat. We live in the flat whereas he gets late after his meetings. He loves talking so he’ll gather 10 people and sit chatting with them. Whereas me, my son and my daughter live together, but we hardly talk because I feel if you end up wasting your energy by talking too much."
However, she later clarified her statement, stating that they can't be separated and her bond with Govinda remains strong. She told, "I have a lot of fun with him. There are people who want to break homes more than outsiders. I won't let anyone break homes. I will win because Baba is with me."
Govinda and Sunita tied the knot on March 11, 1987, and have two children, Tina Ahuja and Yashvardhan.
