Bad news for Malaika Arora as Mumbai court issues warrant against actress due to….
Bollywood actress Malaika Arora often made headlines for her relationship and cryptic post, however, this time the actress has landed in serious trouble. The Mumbai court issued a bailable warrant against the actress in the case related to the alleged assault of an NRI businessman by actor Saif Ali Khan in 2012. Read on to find more details.
On 22 February 2012, Malaika Arora was among those who was invited to have dinner with Saif Ali Khan at a five-star hotel where the incident took place. Chief Judicial Magistrate (Esplanade Court) KS Jhawar was recording the witness in the case, The Court first issued a bailable warrant against Malaika Arora on 15 February.
Regarding the alleged assault, Saif Ali Khan and two other accused were also taken into custody after a complaint was filed by a NRI businessman Iqbal Mir Sharma. However, all three accused including Saif were released on bail. When the physical assault was made Saif Ali Khan along with his wife Kareena Kapoor, Kareena’s sister Karisma Kapoor, Malaika Arora and some friends of the actor including Malaika’s sister Amrita Arora were present in the hotel.
According to the police, when the NRI businessman stopped the actor and his colleagues from creating a ruckus, Saif Ali Khan reportedly threatened Iqbal Mir Sharma and punched him at his nose breaking his nasal bone. On the other than the NRI further accused Said and his colleagues of beating his father-in-law, Raman Patel. In defense, Saif reported that Iqbal’s provocative statement and abusive language against the women accompanying him led to a heated altercation. Saif along with his colleagues Shakeel Ladak and Bilal Amrohi have been charge-sheeted under Section 325 (assault) of the Indian Penal Code.
