Watch Raid 2 Trailer: Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh Set For Epic Clash In Raj Kumar Gupta's Gripping Crime Thriller

The much-awaited trailer of Raid 2 is finally here - and it delivers a solid punch of suspense, intensity, and high-voltage drama. Unveiled at an event in Mumbai on April 8, the trailer teases a riveting face-off between Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh.

Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the sequel to the 2018 blockbuster Raid takes the franchise to a darker, more complex space and blends real-world corruption with sharp cinematic storytelling.

Ajay Devgn returns as the indomitable Income Tax officer Amay Patnaik, this time confronting his most dangerous adversary yet: the cunning and charismatic politician Dadabhai, played by a never-seen-before Riteish. Their clash is cerebral, explosive, and deeply layered.

What truly elevates the trailer is the use of Mahabharata-inspired metaphors that add both gravitas and philosophical edge to the narrative. In a standout moment, when Dadabhai taunts, "Ye Pandava kabse chakravyuh rachne lage?", and Ajay steely replies, "Maine kab kaha ki main Pandava hoon. Main toh puri Mahabharat hoon." It’s a dialogue that not only defines his character's depth but also sets the tone for the epic scale of this battle.

Riteish, in his villainous avatar, is a refreshing surprise. Known for his comedic timing, he completely transforms into a ruthless power player. If the trailer is anything to go by, this might just be one of his most compelling performances yet.

Vaani Kapoor adds elegance and emotion as Amay's wife, while Tamannaah Bhatia makes a glamourous special appearance in a yet-to-be-revealed song. The supporting cast, featuring Rajat Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, and Amit Sial, promises strong performances in what appears to be a tightly-woven narrative.

The trailer id filled with sleek visuals, a gripping score, and punchy dialogues. In fact, it holds onto the core of the original.

The trailer is a thrilling teaser of what could be a knockout political drama with mass appeal. Ajay is in top form, and Riteish might just walk away with all the applause.

Raid 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar, and presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with Panorama Studios. The film is slated for a May 1, 2025 theatrical release.
