Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025 Declared: Pass Percentage At 73.45%, Science Stream Leads The Way
The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEAB) has officially announced the 2nd PUC results for 2025, bringing a wave of anticipation to an end for thousands of students across the state. The results, now available on the official websites — https://karresults.nic.in and https://kseab.karnataka.gov.in. The exams were held between March 1 and 20, 2025.
This year, Karnataka recorded an impressive overall pass percentage of 73.45%.
What's Next? Exam-2 in June, No Exam Fee for Supplementary
Students who missed the first round of exams due to attendance shortages aren’t left behind. KSEAB has scheduled Exam-2 from June 9 to June 21, 2025, offering another chance for students to prove their mettle. The board has announced that no examination fees will be charged for the supplementary exams (Exam-2 and Exam-3). Eligible students can register as private candidates in accordance with the board's regulations.
Didn't Pass? Here’s Your Second Shot
Not everyone may have cleared the exams on the first go, but all is not lost. The board is set to release detailed guidelines for re-evaluation, re-totalling, and compartment exams soon. Students who wish to challenge their results or seek clarification on their marks can apply for:
- Re-evaluation: ₹1,670 per subject
- Scanned copy of answer scripts: ₹530 per subject
- Re-totalling: Free of charge
Applications for these services will be accepted through the official website once the board releases further instructions.
When Have PUC Results Been Declared In Previous?
Over the past few years, Karnataka’s 2nd PUC results have generally followed a consistent timeline. Here’s how it’s looked:
- 2024: April 10
- 2023: April 21
- 2022: June 18 (Delayed due to COVID)
- 2021: September 20 (COVID disruptions)
- 2020: July 14
In 2025, the results landed right on the expected date — April 10 — staying in line with the pre-pandemic trend.
Gender-Wise Performance: Girls Continue To Outshine
In the 2024 session, girls once again led the scoreboard. Out of the 1,48,942 students who appeared, 52,505 cleared the exams, marking an overall pass percentage of 35.25%.

Stream-Wise Performance: Science Tops The Chart
Science students stole the spotlight with the highest pass percentage. Here's a breakdown:
Science: 2,77,831 appeared | 2,49,927 passed | 89.96% pass rate
Commerce: 2,15,357 appeared | 1,74,315 passed | 80.94% pass rate
Arts: 1,87,891 appeared | 1,28,448 passed | 68.36% pass rate
While 87.4% of the students writing the paper in English passed the exam, 70.41% of the Kannada-medium students could clear the board exams
