Pawan Kalyan’s son injured in Singapore fire accident, actor to fly out soon

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and popular Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan’s son, Mark Shankar, was injured in a fire accident that took place in Singapore. Mark Shankar, who is around seven years old, is learnt to be studying in Singapore. The accident occurred at his school on Tuesday. According to a press release put out by Pawan Kalyan’s party, Jana Sena, Mark Shankar has been admitted to a hospital with injuries to his hands and legs.
“Additionally, he experienced difficulty due to inhalation of smoke into his lungs. He has been shifted to the hospital and is currently receiving treatment,” according to the statement.
The Deputy CM is all set to fly to Singapore in the later part of the day. He is currently touring tribal regions in Alluri Sitarama Raju district in Andhra Pradesh. Since arrangements were already in place to inaugurate development projects, he has decided to attend the events and also interact with tribals to understand their issues promised earlier. He will then proceed to Vizag and then fly to Singapore.
Though there is no information on the exact location where Mark Shankar was injured, the official Facebook page of Singapore Civil Defence Force’s (SCDF) page intimated public about a lone fire accident which was reported today at 9.45 am (Singapore time) at River Valley road.
“Upon arrival, the fire was raging on the second and third floors of a three-storey shophouse. Several persons were on a ledge outside the third-floor unit. Members of the public, including construction workers, used a metal scaffolding and a ladder to reach those stranded and brought a number of them to safety,” read the post. The SCDF said that the fire was extuingshed with three water jets within 30 minutes. A total of 19 casualties, four adults and 15 children, were transported to the hospital.
As per a news report put out by the Singaorean news outlet, The Straits Times, one of the centres affected by the fore accident was Tomato Cooking School, which runs cooking classes for children.
