New Delhi – Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has introduced a series of feature enhancements to its popular Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV, aimed at further improving safety, comfort, and convenience. With these upgrades, the Hyryder continues to reinforce its position as a frontrunner in the mid-size SUV segment, appealing to tech-savvy and safety-conscious Indian consumers.

Celebrated as India’s first self-charging strong hybrid electric SUV, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder has crossed the milestone of 1 lakh unit sales since its launch in 2021. The latest updates come as part of Toyota’s customer-first approach, incorporating valuable user feedback and evolving market expectations.

Among the most notable updates, all variants now come equipped with six airbags as standard, alongside structural enhancements for improved crash safety. Select automatic variants now also get an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), offering greater driving ease.

Performance-wise, the all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant now features a 6-speed automatic transmission, replacing the earlier 5-speed manual gearbox.

Comfort and convenience have also seen a major uplift. Higher variants now include an 8-way adjustable power driver seat, ventilated front seats, rear door sunshades, ambient lighting, and an Air Quality Index (AQI) display. Additional enhancements include a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) across more variants, LED spot and reading lamps as standard, Type-C fast-charging USB ports, and an upgraded speedometer for better readability.

The SUV also gets a visual refresh with new dual-tone exterior color options to appeal to younger buyers.

Speaking on the upgrades, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, TKM, said, “The latest updates to the Urban Cruiser Hyryder underline our commitment to delivering segment-leading technology, safety, and comfort. This SUV is tailored for today’s dynamic consumers, blending Toyota’s reliability with future-ready features.”
