Apple iPhone price in India may rise up to Rs 2 lakh in India due to…
President Donald Trump has recently announced new reciprocal tariffs for several countries. If you use an iPhone and are planning to buy a new iPhone in the future, then this is a good news for you. Actually, the prices of iPhones may increase due to Trump’s new tariffs.
Actually, China is one of the biggest manufacturing countries of Apple. America has already imposed a 20% tariff on China and now the Trump government has imposed an additional tariff of 34% on China. If the Trump government continues to impose this tariff, then a huge increase in the prices of iPhones can be seen. It is being said that due to the new tariff policy, the price of iPhones can reach up to $2000 in the coming time.
According to a report, the base variant of the iPhone 16 is currently priced at $799 in the US. Its price may increase by up to 43%, after which it may be available for $1142. At the same time, the price of the iPhone 16 Pro Max in the US market is currently $1599, but its price may increase to $2300 in the future.
No relief to Apple
Donald Trump had imposed tariffs on China during his previous tenure as well, although at that time he had given relief to Apple, but this time it is not so. In such a situation, if the new tariffs remain in force, then Apple may increase the prices of iPhones. If it does not increase the price of iPhones, then it will have to bear the new cost itself. It is being told that after the implementation of the tariff, the total cost of iPhone production is likely to increase by 43%.
After the new tariffs are implemented, America may have to increase the prices of iPhones in its home market as well. Some reports have also revealed that the tech giant has created stock by importing iPhones in planes from many countries including China and India in the month of March before the new tariffs came into force. This is the reason why the prices of iPhones have not been increased in the market right now.
