'Want To Be Mindful Of How Things Can Be Interpreted': R Ashwin Responds On YouTube Controversy, Takes Huge Call On CSK Related Videos During IPL 2025
Chennai Super Kings bowler Ravichandran Ashwin took a bold step of refraining himself from posting any content related to his current team on his official YouTube channel throughout the entire duration of IPL 2025 season. This cricketer took this decision following a controversy involving a video shared on his channel.
In the wake of the controversy, Ashwin posted lengthy note on his YouTube channel in which he wrote, "Given the nature of the discussions on this forum over the last week, we want to be mindful of how things can be interpreted and have chosen to step away from covering CSK games, both previews and reviews, for the rest of this season,"
He added,"We value the diversity of perspectives that come through on our shows and remain committed to ensuring the conversation stays true to the integrity and purpose of the platform we've established. The views expressed by our guests do not reflect Ashwin's personal opinions. We appreciate all those who engage thoughtfully with the spirit of the show,"

In response to the backlash, Ashwin decided to take the video down.CSK's head coach, Stephen Fleming, was asked about the video after their team's loss to Delhi Capitals. He dismissed the issue, saying he had no idea about Ashwin's YouTube channel and that the matter was "irrelevant."
