Motorola Edge 60 Fusion Challengers: Samsung Galaxy A26, OnePlus Nord CE4, More

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion Challengers: Motorola has just launched the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion in the Indian market. The phone aims to “edge out” the ordinary, bringing some impressive specs and even some "first-in-market" touches that make it a very compelling offering at its starting price of Rs 22,999. The phone is the first one in the Indian market to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor. This is coupled with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.

Another first that the phone brings along is its display - a four-sided curved display, which curves out on top and bottom as well as the sides. The display itself is a 6.7-inch curved pOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and it offers 4,500 nits peak brightness, making it Motorola’s brightest display yet. In the camera department, the Edge 60 Fusion sports a dual camera setup on the back, comprising a 50 megapixel main sensor with OIS and a 13 megapixel ultrawide, with a 32 megapixel selfie sensor in front that can also record videos in 4K.

It is backed by a 5,500 mAh battery with support for 68 W charging and a charger in the box. The phone runs Android 15 with Moto’s Hello UI with some neat AI features, and comes with four years of promised security updates. Also on board are stereo speakers, and all this comes with not only an IP68 and IP69 rating and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. It also gets military grade certification, making it a solid proposition.

But even with so much serious spec and feature muscle up its sleeve, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion still faces a lot of tough competition.

Here are five phones that could blunt the rather sharp edge of the newbie:

Samsung Galaxy A26: Classic Samsung Experience

Price: Rs 22,999 onwards

The Galaxy A26 is Samsung’s most affordable AI-forward smartphone. Along with its much talked of Galaxy AI features is a very Samsung-y spec sheet too. The phone features a tall, 6.7-inch Super AMOLED full HD+ display with 120 Hz refresh rate.

This being a Samsung device, it is no surprise that the display is one of the biggest USPs and looks vibrant and beautiful. It has Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1380 processor powering it with 8 GB RAM and up to 256 GB storage. It sports a triple camera setup on the back featuring a 50 megapixel main sensor, an 8 megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 2 megapixel macro one, while a 13 megapixel sensor for capturing selfies and making video calls is on the front.

The phone runs on Android 15 with Samsung’s OneUI 7.0 on top, and comes with another very Samsung-like feature: a promise of six years of OS and six years of security upgrades. Keeping it going is a 5,000 mAh battery, but this comes with slow 25W charging support, and there is no charger in the box. All said and done, the Galaxy A26 is one of the most futureproof phones in this zone, in terms of OS and AI.

Poco F6: Processing Powerhouse

Price: Rs 25,999 onwards

The Moto Edge 60 Fusion has many impressive specs, but it does not have the flagship-level processing power that the Poco F6 brings to the table. The phone is powered by the near-flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, accompanied by speedy  LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, making the phone a powerhouse.

On its front is a beautiful 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The phone also has stereo speakers, making it a gamer's dream phone on a budget. When it comes to cameras, there's a dual camera setup comprising a 50 megapixel main sensor with OIS and an 8 megapixel ultrawide sensor, while in front is a 20 megapixel selfie camera.

It has a 5,000 mAh battery and comes with 90W fast charging support, with a charger in the box too. It runs on Android 14 out of the box with Xiaomi’s HyperOS on top, but has been updated to Android 15. Round all this off with IP64 dust and water resistance and Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front, and this spec beast has what it takes to rattle the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion.

OnePlus Nord CE4: The Never Settler On This List

Price: Rs 23,999 onwards

A phone with not one big USP but overall impressive specs in this price band is the OnePlus Nord CE4. It might be getting on a little in terms of age, but it remains a formidable all-rounder. It is powered by an AI-friendly Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, which comes with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB and 256 GB storage options.

The phone has a 6.7-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a dual camera comprising a very impressive 50 megapixel main sensor with OIS and an 8 megapixel ultrawide sensor.

The phone sports a 16 megapixel sensor on the front for selfies and video calls.  It has a large 5,500 mAh battery and well, in best OnePlus tradition, it comes with super fast 100W charging support, with a charger in the box too. You get stereo speakers, Android 14 out of the box with OxygenOS (now updated to Android 15) and an IP54 rating.

It is still good enough to never let even the newest Edge-y player settle.

Nothing Phone 3a: The Different Phone

Price: Rs 24,999 onwards

The Nothing Phone 3a comes with a unique, LED-loaded, semi-transparent back, which makes it stand out from the usual smartphone crowd with ease. Its spec sheet also makes it a headache for mid-segment phones like the Moto Edge 60 Fusion.

The phone comes with a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with 1a 20 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2932 x 1080, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, with 8 GB RAM and up to 256 GB storage, making it an efficient everyday driver.

The phone also has an impressive triple camera arrangement on the back with two 50 megapixel sensors – one main with OIS and another telephoto - with the third one being an 8 megapixel ultrawide. Even on the front, the phone has a 32 megapixel sensor, which is a big number in this segment, making the Phone (3a) one of the best camera phones in this list.

It runs on a 5,000 mAh battery with support for decently fast 50W charging, but with no charger in the box. It runs on Android 15 with the super clean NothingOS on top and has stereo speakers too, making it sharp enough to take on the new Edge!

iQoo Neo 10R: No Compromises

Price: Rs 26,999 onwards

The iQoo 10R is like a flagship-level phone stuck in the mid-segment zone. The phone runs on the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which is paired with up to  12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

This is backed by a tall 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and the highest refresh rate in the list at 144 Hz and peak brightness of 4,500 nits. It has a 50 megapixel main and an 8 megapixel ultrawide sensor on the back, while on the front it features a solid 32 megapixel sensor. It is powered by a massive (the biggest in this list) 6,400 mAh battery, which comes with support for 80W fast charging and also has a charger in the box.

It has Android 15, stereo speakers and FunTouchOS on top and an IP65 rating. It has no weak point and its blue variant will turn heads and make the Edge 60 Fusion sweat.
