'Absolutely False': Dia Mirza SLAMS Telangana CM Revanth Reddy's Claim Stating She Posted Fake AI Videos Of Gachibowli Tree Felling

Bollywood actress Dia Mirza, on Sunday, strongly denied Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's claims that she had shared fake AI-generated videos related to the ongoing Gachibowli tree felling row.

She took to her X handle to slam the claims and urged him to verify facts before making statements. "The CM of Telangana posted a tweet yesterday. He made certain claims about the situation at Kancha Gachibowli. One of them was that I had used FAKE AI generated images/videos in support of the protest by students to protect biodiversity on the 400acres of land the government wanted to auction (sic)," she wrote.

She stated, "This is an absolutely false statement. I have not posted a single image or video that is AI generated. The media and the Telangana government should verify their facts before making such claims (sic)."

For those unversed, students of the University of Hyderabad have been protesting against the Telangana government's plan to develop the 400-acre land bordering the university, by auctioning it and constructing urban infrastructure and an IT park in the ecologically sensitive zone.

Earlier, Dia had tweeted on X, urging the youth to raise awareness and save forests and green zones in the country. "There is HOPE because the youth of our country know better and are compelling authorities to do better. India needs her forests and biodiversity, and our youth are raising awareness, their voices and inspiring action. We hear you, we see you, we stand by you (sic)," she wrote.

Several celebrities have urged the Telangana government to scrap the plan and protect the ecological zone. John Abraham, Raveena Tandon, Sonakshi Sinha and Rupali Ganguly are some of the notable names who expressed their disappointment over the Telangana government's decision.
