'Stop Judging': Malavika Mohanan SLAMS Troll Who Criticised Her For Romancing Mohanlal In Hridayapoorvam Despite 33-Year Age Gap
Malavika Mohanan is all set to share screen space with Mohanlal for the first time in Hridayapoorvam, directed by Sathyan Anthikad. Recently, the actress hit back at a troll who criticised her for playing Mohanlal's love interest in the film despite their 33-year age gap. Mohanlal is 64 years old, while Malavika is 31. On March 18, she shared photos with Mohanlal and the cast of the film as she wrapped the first schedule.
A user commented, "65 year old man playing the love interest of a 30 year old. What is with these veteran actors desperate to play roles that don't fit their ages?" Hitting back at the troll, the actress replied, "Who told you it’s a love interest? Stop judging people and a film with your half baked baseless assumptions."

In a long social media post after wrapping up the first schedule of Hridayapoorvam, Malavika expressed gratitude, saying, "Learned so much from the stalwarts- Mohanlal sir & Sathyan Sir. Just watching them, having them guide me, seeing how they bring cinematic magic to life, and all of this they do with so much of dignity and respect and grace.
"Worked with some of the most talented people, spent a blissful month in the beautiful hills and tea estates of thekkadi, drank endless lemon teas to keep myself warm in the cold evenings & last but definitely not the least shoutout to the loveliest team of assistant directors without whom this film would not be what it is," she added.
Malavika was last seen in the Hindi film Yudhra alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi in the lead. She also starred in the 2024 Tamil film Thangalaan.
Mohanlal was recently seen in Prithviraj Sukumaran's L2 Empuraan.
