MP: Bodies Of Man & Woman Found In Gwalior's Sagar Talab; Police Suspect Separate Suicides

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Panic gripped Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior after two dead bodies of a man and a woman were found floating in Sagar Talab, as reported by police on Saturday evening.

According to information, passersby spotted the bodies and immediately informed police. Bahodapur police reached the spot and recovered both bodies from the water.

The deceased woman was identified as Sadhana Singh, a resident of Government Multi, Sagar Talab. She lived with her husband. She has two daughters and both of them are married. 

Woman missing since Friday

The woman had been missing since Friday morning. Her family also filed her missing report with Bahodapur police station on Friday evening.

Man missing since April 2

The deceased man has been identified as Rakesh Mahour, a vegetable seller and resident of Rangiyana Mohalla under Char Shahar Ka Naka police station.

He also had been missing for four days, and a missing report was filed for him at Gwalior police station on April 2. He is survived by three children.

Police suspect suicide

According to police, it is suspected that both individuals died by suicide, though for different personal reasons.

Witnesses reported that the woman’s body was seen floating face down near one end of the lake, dressed in a saree. Shortly after, the man’s body was also spotted floating upside down on the other side of the lake.

Further investigation is underway.
