Jacqueline Fernandez’s Mother Kim Fernandez Passes Away After 13-Day Battle In Hospital Following Heart Stroke In Mumbai
Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez's mother, Kim Fernandez, has passed away. She was hospitalised on March 24 at Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre in Bandra, Mumbai, after suffering a heart stroke, and was reportedly admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). After a 13-day battle in the hospital, she breathed her last today.
After the news of Jacqueline’s mother’s passing broke, the actress' father, Elroy Fernandez, along with other close relatives, was seen arriving at the hospital. The actress is yet to release an official statement regarding her mother's demise.
Upon receiving the news of her mother's hospitalisation on March 24, Jacqueline immediately flew back home to be by her side. She was frequently spotted visiting her mother at Lilavati Hospital, staying close throughout the difficult time.
The actress, who was scheduled to perform at the IPL ceremony on March 26 in Guwahati ahead of the match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara, has cancelled her performance following her mother’s hospitalisation.
Earlier, in 2020, the actress' mother suffered a stroke and was admitted to a hospital in Bahrain.
In an old interview, Jacqueline talked about her mother and told India TV, "My mom always supported me. I miss her a lot. I live here alone without my parents. There are these two people who have been so strong and they have been such an inspiration for me which always keeps me going."
On the work front, Jacqueline was last seen in the film, Fateh, co-starring Sonu Sood.
Next, the actress will be seen in Welcome To The Jungle, which features an impressive ensemble cast, including Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Paresh Rawal, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, and others.
