Noida Shocker! 55-Year-Old Man , Hammers Wife To Death Over Extramarital Affair Suspicion

Noida: In a shocking incident, a 55-year-old man allegedly killed his wife over suspicion of her having an extra-marital affair in Uttar Pradesh's Noida. The accused has been identified as  Noor-ul-lah Haider. He allegedly bludgeoned his wife to death with a hammer. He surrendered before the police.

The incident took place in Noida's Sector 15 area. The 42-year-old victim, Asma Khan, was a software engineer. She worked at a private company in Noida's Sector 62 and earlier lived in Delhi. The couple's son informed the police.

The accused is currently in police custody. The couple has two children - 19-year-old Samad and 12-year-old Asma. After the incident, Samad called Asma’s sister Farida to inform her about the incident.

“On Friday around 1 pm, my wife Farida (Asma’s sister) received a call from Samad, who informed her that his mother was dead. When Farida asked what had happened, Samad said his father killed her,” Nadeem, Farida’s husband, said as quoted by Hindustan Times.

Nadeem also said that Nadeem might have covered Asma’s face with a pillow when he was hitting her with a hammer. As per a report by The Hindustan Times, Around 5 am on Friday, Asma called her sister and told her that she and Haider had been fighting since night and also asked for her intervention.

Both Haider and his wife were fighting over the past few days. Their daughter informed me about the incident this morning. They were fighting for several days. But we did not expect that he would take such a step,” the victim’s brother-in-law told the media house.

The couple married in 2005. Their son is an engineering student, while their daughter is a class eight student. The victim was an engineering graduate. Meanwhile, the accused is from Bihar and is also an engineering graduate, reported NDTV. In the preliminary investigation, it was found that Haider had a suspicion that his wife was having an extra-marital affair.

A detailed probe has been launched into the matter.
