Higher reaches to receive snowfall on April 8, 9
The higher reaches of the state will receive snowfall on April 8 and 9 due to a fresh Western Disturbance that is very likely to affect the western Himalayan region from April 8.
As per the state’s Meteorological Department, light snowfall and rain are very likely to occur in isolated places of Chamba, Kanga, Kullu, Kinnaur and Lahaul and Spiti districts on April 8 and 9 while the weather will remain dry in the rest of the state.
Meanwhile, the weather was moslty dry in the state in the past 24 hours and no large change in minimum and maximum temperatures was recorded. Shimla recorded a maximum temperature of 22.6°C, Dharamsala (29°C), Manali (21.4°C), Dalhousie (18°C), Kasauli (25.5°C), Solan (32.4°C), Mandi (30.4°C), Chamba (28.8°C), Kangra (31.8°C), Sundernagar (32.6°C), Nahan (31.4°C), Keylong (9.8°C), Kalpa (16.4°C) and Bhuntar (28.7°C).
Una was the hottest place at 35.4°C while Kukumseri village in Lahaul and Spiti was the coldest place at minus 0.7°C.
