Developer booked for duping Nagpur consultant of Rs 16.46 crore in South Mumbai project tied to Waqf land

Mumbai police have filed a case against a developer, Lalit Jain, for allegedly falsifying property documents related to a South Mumbai redevelopment project. He induced a land consultant, Mahesh Goyal, to invest Rs 12.50 crores by promising high returns, without revealing the property's ongoing litigation with the Waqf Board.
